(The
serenade was completed in Vienna on 10 August 1787, around the time
Mozart was working on the second act of his opera Don Giovanni.)
Clarinet Quintet A major K.581
(It was written in 1789 for the clarinetist Anton Stadler. A clarinet
quintet is a work for one clarinet and a string quartet (two violins, a
viola and a cello). It remains to this day one of the most admired of
the composer's works.
Serenade No. 6, K. 239 "Serenata notturna"
(Serenata notturna was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Salzburg,
in 1776 for small orchestra with 1st violin (soloist), 2nd violin
(soloist), 1st viola and double bass.)
